The American Institute of Architects is conveniently located near the White House, the National Mall, and the Corcoran Gallery of Art in the center of Washington, DC.

Getting to the DC Area

By Air: DC is served by three major airports — Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Washington Dulles International Airport, and Baltimore Washington International Airport. Mass transit, taxis, and shuttles connect both airports with downtown.
By Train: Ten Amtrak lines arrive or depart DC daily.

Getting to the AIA

By Subway: The closest Metro stop is Farragut West on the Blue/Orange Line. Exit the Metro on the 17th or 18th street side, and walk south 4.5 blocks (cross I and H Streets, Pennsylvania Avenue, and G and F Streets).
By Car: Visit the AIA site for directions and parking information.

Getting Around DC

The Metro website offers bus and train schedules, and a trip planner. Taxis are also generally easy to flag in downtown DC.

Meals

Continental breakfast will be provided from 8-9am. Snacks for the two coffee breaks are included. There are many restaurant choices for lunch nearby; a list of local restaurants and addresses will be provided at the seminar.
