May 21, 2004: Interesting New Newsletter
From KM Connection's Philip Murray, editor of their new bi-monthly (as in six times per year) Barrington Report on Advanced Knowledge Organization and Retrieval (BRAKOR):
The theme of the inaugural issue is knowledge organization and faceted classification. The first issue features the following articles and departments:
The next issue of BRAKOR will focus on the processes of developing and managing enterprise knowledge-organization systems (sometimes referred to as "corporate taxonomies") and will feature the viewpoints and experiences of several leading consultants. Issue 2 will also contain product reviews, more "terminology of knowledge organization," and our regular departments (news and upcoming events).
I'm very excited by BRAKOR's intended coverage, especially the enterprise-themed second issue. And just so you've been warned, the first issue is a bulky 38 page 1.8 Mb PDF file (you'll find it linked from the KM Connection main page. Would be nice to see this in HTML. But I shouldn't complain about something that's good and free.
